If I was Stranded on a Desert Island...

Alex of Just Cook It! did a fun post asking people to list the 5 foods they'd want with them on a desert island. Check it out! It'll be fun to see people's responses.

Here's my list:

1. Fish sauce. Even though he said there'd be unlimited fish and sea salt, I couldn't be bother to make my own.

2. Rice. I'd go into shock if I went without for more than a couple of days.

3. Limes. Goes great with fish.

4. Cilantro. My favorite fresh herb.

5. Garlic. It won out over chili, but just barely.

Hmm, I would definitely have gone for vegetable oil ahead of the cilantro, hahaha! :)

What a fun post! I'd have to really think about it. I'm stumped at what I'd pick ... I need the list that says what 25 foods would you bring!

Nice list. And with the limes, no chance of scurvy! Thanks for the mention

SOO HARD. All I can think about is sunscreen and bug spray, but those are not food items.
lol.

1 - Potatoes (since I'm Danish...)
2 - Lemons (we should probably try lime as well when cooking fish)
3 - Various sorts of pasta
4 - Chili
5 - Tomatoes (if they aren't already there - must have for spicy tomato sauce)

manggy, you probably wouldn't need vegetable oil because you'd be grilling everything on a spit over a fire :-)

Alex, disease prevention was not even on my mind when I picked the limes :-)

Uffe, what?? no rye bread? :-P
